The Jurassic World: Dominion Dinotracker AR App allows fans of all ages to discover, track, and interact with life-size dinosaurs they find in their real-life environments. The app was developed in partnership with Universal Pictures, Niantic, LG Uplus, Qualcomm, and KOCCA (Korea).

The app features Niantic’s Lightship ARDK technology and key advancements such as semantic understanding, spatial awareness and occlusion, and walkable planes, as well as hand tracking powered by Apple’s CoreML on iOS and MediaPipe on Android.

Users who photographed or recorded their dinosaur sightings could share them on social media to be featured on the Dinotracker Map website. They could also explore sightings from other users around the world. This feature fostered community engagement and connected users with fellow dinosaur enthusiasts.
